Motivation Techniques

Motivation can sometimes be like a roller coaster. One minute you are extremely motivated and the next you suffer from complete lack. Our emotional patterns are similar, full of this up and down. To make motivation techniques work, you must work within this system of peaks and valleys.

During the times when your motivation is peaked you are able to do far more than normal. Your enthusiasm and confidence are soaring and obstacles that come in your path are easily conquered. This enables your progress to grow even more.

The obstacles, some you conquered, some you did not, come into your view. They were there all along, you were too busy and too enthused to see them. When you start seeing them and realizing the results you expected or wanted are not appearing as quickly as you planned your motivation starts to dwindle.

Know Your Pattern

You may already know your patterns of motivation, you may need to start writing in a journal. Just a sentence or two can help you keep track of your own patterns. With this you can know how long you will be excited about a project and when your let down will happen. So you can plan for it and find ways to stay motivated to conquer your goals.
