Take a Mental Pitstop

Work fills our lives. Your job brings hours of work. You go home to chores and other house work. All day you run around working, here and there and rather than see the keys to success, you are racing by life.

But with all this racing, perhaps you should ask where you are racing. Stress is devastating and damaging to your body and your health. While you are working all these different angles, you are over working your blood pressure and your heart. Rather than lose weight with all this running around, you gain weight and you probably wonder why. 

A Race to the Grave

You can wait for your body to take you down. You will get sick.  Perhaps you will develop health problems and your doctor will tell you to slow down before you slow down permanently. A much better solution is to take a mini vacation, pitstop.  It does not mean that you have to leave town or even where you are.

A mental pitstop can be as simple as closing your eyes for 5 minutes. Perhaps you will want to imagine being on a vacation, on the beach with the warm breezes and sand between your toes. Then again maybe skiing down a mountain is more your style. You could imagine that whatever you are working on gets completed with absolute success and the best results.  You will be surprised at how much better you will feel.  You may even find what you were working on, has become easier to handle!   ~MJ Schrader
