The Cracks in the Walls

The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven.   ~ John Milton ~

The Cracks in the Walls

Are you looking at the cracks in the walls or are you looking at the walls?  You have a choice in every second of every day to choose what you focus your attention on.  And I have news for you if by chance you haven’t already heard… what you focus your attention on expands!

This is more than a metaphysical concept.  You have the ability to steer your thoughts and emotions by carefully selecting where you place your focus.  If you decide to see what you are grateful for, your positive thoughts gain the power of momentum and soon you’ll find yourself smiling.  The reverse is also true.  If you focus on the “less than desirable” things in your life, your thoughts and feelings gain momentum and begin snowballing downhill.  Soon you’ll find yourself in a bad mood.

So are you seeing the cracks in your walls or are you feeling grateful that you have walls in the first place?  Try this experiment:  Attempt to find something to be grateful for in every moment today and notice how your day goes.  Chances are you’ll want to try this experiment again tomorrow!  ~ Kelly Maria Clark

Have you ever wondered why I created roses with thorns?  It was a little lesson for you to look beyond the thorns and look for the beauty. Yes, it’s that simple… ~ The Divine
