It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere. ~ Agnes Repplier ~

30 Days of Responsible Happiness

You are an amazing person. It may be hard to accept or see, but you are. Yet, when through the day you blame yourself. You may look for what is wrong in the world and hunt for even little things to make into huge faults.

It is a common problem. You see someone else’s mistake and you make it bigger. Maybe to justify how you feel, maybe to just feel better. Now because you are blaming them, you feel a bit guilty. Even if you don’t feel guilty it can become a habit to look for the faults in others, which changes your attitude and mood.

Maybe you drop your toast and suddenly, “this always happens to me.” This becomes your world to obsess over something that didn’t go right. It doesn’t matter if something good happened as well, you focus on the bad.

Recognize what you are doing over the next 30 days. If you are looking for faults you can’t find the beauty in someone. Yes, they may have faults, but dwelling on that you are drawing yourself down. If you can’t trust someone, accept it and move forward.

When you start getting upset over the bad things, look for the good. You choose your happiness. Things happen you can’t control, and it might be bad, yet you decide how long you will let it bother you. Look for the good in people and events. You are responsible for your own happiness. Step up to that responsibility over the next 30 days.  ~ MJ Schrader

You’re right, MJ.  We are all amazing in different ways, yet we so often let some minor thing bring us low. Even though we know how it feels, we STILL have to be vigilant not to do it to others.
